Gondwana Guides Birding Tours 2011

South-west Queensland Safari - June 15 to 26 - in association with Roy Sonnenburg. Highlights include Bowra Station , Kilcowera Station and Currawinya NP. Nearly 200 spp possible including Hall's Babbler, Chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush, Grey Falcon, Splendid Fairy-wren and Chirruping Wedgebill. Max 7 passengers.

Northern Australia Birding - August 10 to 27 - in association with Roy Sonnenburg. Highlights include Darwin, Kakadu NP, Katherine, Cairns, Michaelmas Cay, Daintree, Cape Tibulation, Julateen, Mt Lewis, the Atherton Tableland and Lamington NP. Over 300 spp are usually seen during this tour. Max 10 passengers.

Bowra Station Bird Photography - September 4 to 11 - in association with wildlife photographer Michael Snedic. This is an opportunity for bird photographers improve their photographic skills and to learn how to find and identify birds by studying their behaviour, habits and habitat in a . Max 7 passengers.

Norfolk Island - March 5 to 13 - walking, culture, history, food and wildlife .

Kalimantan, Sumatra and Flores - Wildlife Safari - April 12 to 24 - Orangutans, Sumatran Rhinos, possibly Tigers, Elephants, Gibbons, monkeys, Komodo Dragons and spectacular birds. Barry will be co-leading this tour once there are 6 passengers.

Lava Tubes to Lawn Hill - July 2 to 18 - Cairns to Townsville via the Gulf of Carpentaria, Lawn Hill NP and Mt Isa - walking, lanscapes and wildlife inc Dinosaur fossil fossicking.

Karijini to Kalbarri (WA) - Sept 16 to 29 - Perth to the Pilbarra via the Pinnacles, Kalbarri NP, Ningaloo, Shark Bay and Karijini NP - walking, wildflowers, spectacular landscapes and wildlife.

Tasmania - Western Wilderness - Oct 27 to Nov 7 - from Davenport to Launceston via the Tarkine Wilderness, Cradle Mt NP, Walls of Jerusalem NP and Strahan - walking, wilderness, wildlife, botany, history and culture.
